Mayonnaise in pasta, we hear you scream? What fresh hell is this? Before the world fills with the sounds of people throwing their phone to the ground, stamping on them in pure fury and shaking their fists at the sky, wait for it. This is actually really nice. After all, mayonnaise is an emulsion of egg yolk which is exactly what happens in a carbonara. It's creamy, it's prawny, it's really delicious.
- Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chilli, sriracha, chilli flakes and salt. Set aside.
- Mix the prawns with the paprika, onion powder and salt.
- Heat the oil to a medium heat and fry the prawns until they are firm and cooked through. Take the pan off the heat and add the sauce, parsley and cooked pasta. Stir everything together and serve.
