Order from Twisted London now!

Unsolicited free pizza might sound like a dream come true, but the reality is far more inconvenient - and terrifying - than you could ever imagine. Admittedly, most of us will never get to experience the grim duality of unexplained margheritas. But for one 65-year-old, this situation is no longer a hypothetical and has become a depressing reality.

For the last decade, Jean Van Landeghem of Turnhout, Belgium, has been bombarded with unrequested takeaways at every hour of the day and night, apparently with no justification or end in sight to the deluge of dough.

Initially believing that the incidents were a simple case of address mix-up, it soon became clear to Van Landeghem that something more nefarious was at foot. After almost 10 years of takeaways ranging from kebabs, to burgers, to pies turning up at his doorstep morning, noon and night, his patience is wearing thin.

As per The Independent, Van Landeghem’s troubles came to a crescendo in January last year, when he claims to have received an astonishing 10 separate visits from different delivery drivers - including one carrying 14 different pizzas.

Watch as pizza delivery guy asks family if he can play their piano and absolutely blows them away:

In a desperate attempt to draw public attention to his plight, Van Landeghem recently gave an interview to the Het Laatste Nieuws website, during which he revealed intimate details of his “pizza terror”. As he told the paper:

“I cannot sleep anymore. I start shaking every time I hear a scooter on the street. I dread that someone will come to drop off hot pizzas yet another time.”

Even though he has never had to pay for any of his orders, the situation is a source of extreme irritation for both Van Landeghem and the restaurants being trolled. But whether the culprit is a seriously committed practical joker, or perhaps a hungry spirit determined to try and sneak in a slice or two en route to the afterlife, Van Landeghem’s story is certainly one of the most bizarre to ever involve something so delicious.
