The Big Mac is a great American icon. Full of rich symbolism this Marilyn Monroe of burgers has undeniably found its place in the great capitalist myth. This titan of junk food is hard to imagine without its boon companion, fries. We've gone a step further (we always do) and have fused the two together - regard, if you dare, a child born of your most feverish dreams, Big Mac Fries.
- Whisk together all the ingredients for the big mac sauce and pour it into a squeesy bottle. Put it aside for later.
- Heat the oil in a skillet and fry the onion until soft. Add the garlic and continue to fry for a minute before adding the beef. Cook for around 5 minutes, stirring often, until cooked all over. Season with the salt, pepper and paprika and pour in the double cream. Bring to a simmer and allow to thicken slightly.
- In an ovenproof dish layer up a big pile of cooked fries. Top with the cheese and pour over the beef mixture, then squirt the sauce over the top. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
