6 small maris piper potatoes, peeled and cut into thin slices
18 slices red cheddar
2 cups double cream
1 tsp salt
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 180°C/360°F.
Heat the oil and fry the bacon until crisp, then add the beef mince and brown. Add the onion and cook until soft, then remove from the heat.
Lay the sliced potatoes in a layer at the bottom of a greased deep baking dish, then top with the mince mixture and then a layer of the cheese slices. Repeat until you get to the top then mix together the cream, salt and eggs and pour over the top.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for an hour or so, until a skewer goes through all the potatoes easily.
