750g beef mince
4 jalapeños, finely chopped
2 cups cheddar cheese, split
1/2 cup cream cheese
6 rashers of bacon, cooked crispy and chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg, whisked
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp plain flour
1 cup beef stock
1 1/4 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
We'll turn anything into jalapeño popper flavour and top everything we can think of with it. These jalapeño popper meatballs on top of fries are indulgent and delicious! Definitely for sharing!
- Mix together beef mince, jalapeño, 1 cup cheddar cheese, cream cheese, bacon, garlic, egg, and panko bread crumbs. Form into tiny meatballs and fry in oil until browned on all sides and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan over medium heat, add butter to melt. Add flour and whisk to combine. Add stock and cream and whisk to form a smooth sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste and add cheese and sliced jalapeños. Stir until sauce starts to bubble.
- Add meatballs back in and stir to coat.
- Pour on top of freshly cooked hot French fries. Sprinkle with parsley and enjoy with a crowd!
