• 4 rashers smoked, streaky bacon, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar

  • Veg oil, for deep frying

Add your cheese sauce to your cooked macaroni, mix well then pop in the fridge for a couple of hours to firm up.
  2. Form the macaroni into a ball slightly larger than a golf ball. Dip each ball in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
