Long Boy Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 ciabattas
  • 500g/1.5 cups beef mince
  • 1 cup cornflakes
  • 1/2 onion, finely diced
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups grated cheddar

Directions

  1. Slice the ciabattas in half, drizzle with oil and grill on a high heat for around 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl combine mince with cornflakes, onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and seasoning.
  3. Take the ciabattas out of the oven and sprinkle with cheddar, then top with the burger mix - make sure there are no bits of bread showing as they'll burn.
  4. Place back in the oven for 15 mins until cooked through and slightly crisp on top, then remove and cover with ketchup and sprinkle with the remaining cheddar. Grill for a further five minutes.
