For the donut:

2eggs
100g Chocolate Creme Oreo, plus 10g for dusting
200g plain flour
120g caster sugar
1 tsp baking powder
240ml low fat buttermilk
60ml vegetable oil
120ml skimmed milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
50g cocoa powder

For the glaze:

1 tbsp skimmed milk
5 tbsp icing sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla essence

(Serves 15)

Preheat the oven to 170°C.

In a large bowl, add all of your donut ingredients and whisk well to combine. The mix should be smooth. Pop your donut batter into a piping bag and snip off the end to reveal a thick hole.

Grease a mini-donut tray. Squeeze in the batter so it comes almost half way up the mould. Bake for 15 minutes. Leave to cool, then remove from the tray.

Mix your icing ingredients together. Dip each donut in the icing (or spoon over).

Sprinkle over a few crushed Oreo pieces.

Mini Chocolate Oreo Donuts

I don’t know about you, but we here at Twisted are downright obsessed with Oreo cookies. If we could, we would try and smuggle them into every dessert we make. And believe us when we say we’ve given it a pretty good try.

Take these incredible Chocolate Oreo donuts, for example. We’ve managed to smuggle the cookie into both the dough and the glaze, meaning your taste buds will remain satisfied during the entire eating experience.

The cookies in this recipe are extra special. Not only is the crunchy biscuit chocolate flavoured, the cream inside is deliciously chocolatey as well. Double the chocolate for double the joy!

Each individual donut has been shrunk to an adorable mini size, meaning you can enjoy an entire donut guilt-free.
