Philly Cheesesteak Mac 'n' Cheese

  • 1 white onion, diced
  • 2 green bell peppers, cut into strips
  • 1 large sirloin steak, fat trimmed, cut into strips
  • Sprinkle of salt
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 liter milk
  • 1 cup provolone (plus more for sprinkling)
  • 1 cup grated cheddar (plus more for sprinkling)
  • 1 pack cooked pasta


  1. Fry the peppers and onions until soft then add the steak and fry for another 3 minutes. Add the garlic and fry for 1 minute. Remove everything from the pan and set aside
  2. Add the butter and heat until foaming, then stir in the flour. Add the milk bit by bit and bring to a simmer to thicken. Add the cheese and stir in, then add the steak and bits along with the cooked pasta. Sprinkle with cheese then grill for 10 mins on high until bubbling.
