Sausages French Toast

Sausages French Toast

French toast and sausages are pretty much the definition of breakfast goals. Sure, common food rules dictate that sausages go on the side of French toast, but we don’t believe in following the norm. Thus the creation of sausages wrapped in French toast blankets, dipped in maple syrup. Yes, this does taste as good as it sounds. No, you probably won’t ever want to eat regular French toast, ever again.

What You’ll Need:

  • 6 thick sausages
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 60ml whole milk
  • 6 slices white bread
  • Butter, for cooking
  • Maple Syrup, for serving

How You Make It:

  1. Cook your sausages- baking is good for this.
  2. Whisk together your eggs, cinnamon and milk along with a tsp of sugar.
  3. Cut the crusts off a slice of bread, flatten with a rolling pin, place the sausage at one end (as if rolling sushi) and roll away from you until you have your sausage encased snugly in your bread. Dip this into your egg mixture, then pop into a buttered frying pan and fry on medium until all sides are nicely coloured.
  4. Serve with maple syrup.
