Sweet Chilli Chicken Salt N Pepper Fries

For the fries:

  • 500g skinny fries (frozen)
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp ground white pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp five spice powder

For the sauce:

  • 2 spring onions, sliced
  • 1 fat clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 red chilli, sliced
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil

For the chicken:

  • 3 chicken breasts, diced into 1" chunks
  • 100g plain flour
  • 1 tbsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • sunflower oil, for shallow frying



  1. Tip your fries out onto a tray. Add oil and all seasoning, toss well and bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 180°C.
  2. Meanwhile (for the chicken) mix together the flour, salt and pepper. Toss your chicken in the mix. Fry in hot oil for 6 minutes. Remove, drain, then place on top of your cooked fries (once ready).
  3. In a small saucepan, heat your oil then fry the garlic, spring onion and chilli. Add your vinegar, salt and sweet chilli sauce. Cook for a couple of minutes until nice and thick but still pourable.
  4. Pour the sauce all over your chicken and fries.
  5. Enjoy!
