As any sugar-crazed child will tell you on Easter morning, there is literally nothing better than eating chocolate for breakfast.
Whether you’re trying to cope with a particularly miserable winter’s day, or just feel like treating yourself to something sweet, the prospect of swapping a chalky bowl of oats for something dark and sweet is guaranteed to improve anyone’s mood.
Unfortunately, genuinely delicious chocolatey cereals are hard to come by. Often, they’re either sugary to the point of causing a crushing comedown within about five minutes, or trying and failing to toe the line between tasty and not tooth-rottingly terrible for you. However, this disappointing double act doesn’t stop news of a new kid on the block from piquing the interest of anyone who enjoys the sweeter side of eating.
According to multiple reports this week, several prominent social media figures have spotted an exciting cereal inspired by legendary candy “Hershey’s Kisses”. The cereal in question, which has been creatively dubbed “Hershey’s Kisses Cereal”, is understandably getting a lot of attention as shoppers everywhere are enticed by the prospect of satisfying their inner six-year-old.
The cereal was initially rumoured to be hitting shelves in 2020. However, YouTuber Tami Dunn spotted the product in her local Walmart suggesting that some shoppers may be able to get early access.
Reporting on her findings on her YouTube channel, Dunn declared that the cereal was, perhaps surprisingly, “not too sweet at all,” also adding that it was a “real good cereal”.
Dunn also confirmed that she picked up a box for $3.64 at her local Walmart and that “one cup” weighed in at around 140 calories. While there’s no official word on when the cereal will be available nationwide, the warm reception from commentators like Dunn surely bodes well for Hershey’s fans.
