A Nutella-themed hotel is opening in 2020

Order from Twisted London now!

Check out of the Marriott and sack off the Hilton - next year, there’s only one hotel destination that will satisfy spread-obsessed foodies. As of January 2020, the chocoholic pioneers at Nutella will be opening their very own hazelnut spread-themed hotel, built to make all of your wildest Nutella fantasies come true.

Imaginatively dubbed “Hotella Nutella,” the new pop-up is an all-out chocolate experience. According to information provided to the media, the venture will feature a “Nutella Breakfast Dinner” created by Iron Chef judge Geoffrey Zakarian, as well as a “Savory Soul Food Brunch” with chef Tanya Holland that mixes Southern breakfast staples with Nutella.  This will be augmented by a session with professional pancake artists Dancakes: an artistic couple who make a living “perform(ing) live pancake art around the world.”

Unfortunately for eager Nutella-heads, securing your spot at the hotel is a whole lot more complicated than logging on to Trivago. In order to be awarded with a bed, applicants will have to submit a video, demonstrating their “passion for Nutella at breakfast.” The clip in question can be no longer than 60 seconds and will be judged on “passion”, “originality”, and “creativity”.

According to the Official Rules section of the competition website, the three grand prizes up for grabs include:

“Round-trip coach air transportation for Winner and one (1) travel companion; Accommodations for 3 days/2 nights at Hotella Nutella; Round-trip ground transportation between airport and Hotella Nutella; One-of-a-kind creative breakfast experiences with notable tastemakers.”

Even though there are only three spaces on offer, the mock-up photos of the experience mean that this is bound to prove popular with Nutella’s ravenous fanbase. Entrants must be 21 or over and must be resident in the United States. Winners will be revealed on the 8th of December at midnight. Fingers crossed you can make it to Cali.
