Cheeseburger French Dip Sliders

Order from Twisted London now!

Sliders in the parlance of the U S of A means small sandwich. Usually a burger, but basically anything in a slider roll - American cuisine is remarkably welcoming. A French Dip is another sort of American sandwich, this one full of roast beef with a special pot of gravy or "jus" for dipping in - oh la la! We've done a Twisted and smashed the two together to create a future classic.

  1. Preheat the oven to 360°F/180°C.
  2. Fry the beef in the oil until browned all over. Add the ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper and garlic powder and cook until stick and cooked through. Set aside while you make the gravy.
  3. In a saucepan heat the butter until foaming, then stir in the flour. Cook for until it turns golden brown, then gradually beat in the stock. Add worcestershire sauce, mustard and salt.
  4. Spoon the ground beef mix over the bottom of the slider buns. Top with cheese slices and bacon. Place top halves of buns on top and brush with the gravy - save the rest for a dip.
  5. Bake, covered, for around 15 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
