Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Anyone else morbidly fascinated by pimple popping videos? They’re so gross and yet we physically can’t prise our eyes away.

So, imagine our excitement when one baker knocked together a cupcake which you can squeeze like a spot.

We kid you not.

It’s so gross but so, so incredible.

The creation is from Rachael Sanchez, of California bakery Blessed By Baking, and it was actually created all the way back in 2016 – but now its resurfacing on social media, thanks to the folks over at Buzzfeed.

The cupcakes were made for Dr. Sandra Lee, aka Dr. Pimple Popper herself, aka the woman who made her name squeezing pimples and blackheads, in a series of equally disgusting and captivating videos.

And they show pus (read, lemon curd) edging its way out of an enflamed red outer skin. Incredible viewing and edible.

Since Dr Pimple Popper shared the video on Facebook, it has amassed over seven million views, and the reception is a mixture of pimple popper stans and those who find the whole thing bizarre and disturbing.

“I want these for my bday,” wrote one person in response to the creation, whilst another penned: “That would be the most satisfying gift I could receive!!”

“Out of all her videos just this one grosses me out,” remarked a third, as another agreed: “Disgusting! The real thing is awesome..BUT you crossed the line when you messed up those cupcakes”.

After all the hype online, Dr Pimple Popper went one step further and even teamed up with Rachael Sanchez to make an Instagram live, in which they explained how to create the cupcakes yourself.

Looking for tips? You can watch that here:

“What’s so wonderful about these cupcakes is that they’re interactive, and they’re actually meant for you to squeeze,” says Sandra in the video.

She goes on to admit that even she has to shut her eyes when she eats the pus filled cupcakes.

“For me, it would be the worst thing in the world to eat something that I was doing at work,” she reasons.

No, Sandra… jobs aside, we think we can all agree that there are nicer things to eat than a cupcake that looks like a pimple.

Still, we have no choice but to admire the craftsmanship.
