Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

The inventive ice cream experts at Ben & Jerry’s have made it abundantly clear that they plan to conquer summer with the release of their brand new and surprisingly sophisticated frozen flavour. New for 2019, the Vermont-based business have unveiled a dessert guaranteed to satisfy caffeine and ice cream fans alike with their “Cold Brew Caramel Latte”, featuring swirls of real salted caramel and coffee. If the photos are anything to go by, summer is officially about to begin.

According to an official description on the Ben & Jerry’s website, “If you’ve been looking for a more chillacious way to get your Ben & Jerry’s on, this dreamy latte-inspired ice cream made with cold brew coffee, rich sweet cream, & salt-kissed caramel is a mighty cool & euphoric motorvator.” Even for someone who’s never been a coffee fan, it’s hard to deny that the new offering sounds pretty irresistible.

However, as seems pretty inevitable whenever anyone releases something that sounds this awesome, there is a catch. As part of the promotion, Ben & Jerry’s also revealed that the new flavour will only be available in 7-Eleven stores across America, meaning that you won’t be able to get your hands on it over the course of your average grocery shop. Presumably, this partnership has come about as the ice cream actually lists coffee as an official ingredient, making it ideal for a 7-Eleven.

The coffee deal isn’t the only exclusive collaboration that Ben & Jerry’s have announced for this summer. Earlier this month, the company revealed that they have produced two new flavours especially for Walmart, namely Red, White & Blueberry (with blueberry, raspberry and vanilla ice cream, strawberries and shortbread pieces) and Ice Cream Sammie (which comes with a vanilla ice cream base, swirled chocolate cookies and chunks of chocolate sandwich cookies).

To make matters more exciting, the businesses also recently announced a new range of vegan-friendly flavours, including Non-Dairy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Non-Dairy Chocolate Caramel Cluster. The world may be becoming an increasingly depressing place, but at least it’s a good time to be an ice cream enthusiast.
