Cheez-It and Wine boxes are back with a brand new flavour pairing

If you enjoy the sophistication of a wine and cheese evening, without worrying about tidying up crumpled packets of époisses and posh cheddar, we have some exciting news for you. Ideal for anyone who wants to pretend that they’re coasting through the French countryside without leaving their kitchen, Cheez-It has brought back its wildly popular cheese and wine combination boxes, proving that you don’t need access to a fromagerie to scratch that cheesy itch. 

Following in the footsteps of the original Cheez-It wine box selection, which stole headlines when it was released last year, the new range will offer even more exciting flavour combinations, allowing customers to pick and choose exactly how they want to wash down their crackers. Movie night might be about to become a whole lot more civilised.

The new box, which features white cheddar crackers and rosé, is set to be available for just $29.99 at OriginalHouseWine.com from July 23rd. In a statement accompanying the news, Jeff Delonis, Senior Director of Marketing for “Cheez-It”, revealed:

“Following the success of our first edition of Cheez-It and Wine, which sold out in minutes, we knew we had to bring the partnership back this summer with a new flavour pairing.

“White Cheddar is a long-standing favourite of Cheez-It fans and what better match than light, refreshing rosé? Not only does it perfectly complement the cheesy goodness, it’s also the unofficial wine of summer!”

This was followed up by a statement from Hal Landvoigt, winemaker for House Wine, who added:

“Similar to the many varieties of Cheez-It, our wines run the full spectrum of flavour. We’ve seen rosé skyrocket in popularity over the past few years, especially during the warm summer season. For the second year of this partnership, we knew the pairing had to feature rosé as the perfect complement to the real-cheese flavour in Cheez-It White Cheddar.”

While the box might not ultimately match up to the authentic cheese and wine tasting experience, it’s certainly an exciting alternative to dessert.
