You might think that winter isn’t the best time to be in the ice cream business. When the weather is greyer than an elephant’s bottom and colder than your reception at an ex’s birthday party, most people tend to stick to stuff that has a chance of warming them up. However, just because the weather outside is frightful doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a few frozen treats.
In anticipation of the upcoming winter season, ice cream specialists Häagen-Dazs have revealed that their fan-favourite peppermint bark ice cream will be making a return to stores soon. From October 1st, passionate pepperminters will be able to get their hands on both pints and bars of the signature flavour, meaning that we all now have at least one thing to look forward to with the onset of Autumn.
If you like ice cream, you’ll love these Brownie and Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sandwiches:
As the Häagen-Dazs website says, this news provides the perfect opportunity to “celebrate the season with our rendition of this holiday classic.” The site also helpfully includes a recipe for a Peppermint Bark float with hot chocolate, proving that ice cream doesn’t always equate to frozen.
The description also adds that “rich white chocolate ice cream is blended with crunchy chocolaty peppermint bark and peppermint candy pieces,” making the whole thing sound more irresistible than ever. According to a report by Delish, pints will retail at around $5.29, depending on location, while the bars will come in packs of three for the same price.
Even if the idea of peppermint bark isn’t quite your cup of tea, Häagen-Dazs have plenty more options up their sleeve. According to People, the brand dropped a range of boozy flavours in February this year, including Irish Cream Brownie, Rum Tres Leches, Bourbon Vanilla Bean Truffle, Stout Chocolate Pretzel Crunch, Bourbon Praline Pecan, Non-Dairy Amaretto Black Cherry Almond Toffee and Irish Cream Cookie Squares. Now there’s no excuse not to indulge over the winter.
