Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

When it comes to birthday cakes, it’s always nice to try and give them a personal touch. There are all kinds of talented bakers out there, who can do things with piping bags and icing sugar that would put most actual sculptors to shame.

Most of the time, the people who get bespoke cakes are little kids. Maybe they want it in the shape of a kitty cat, or a Disney character, or even something as simple as a giant football. But adults are just as susceptible to these treats as kids, and this week a married couple proved it, through a special cake that social media users are raving about.

Last week, North Carolina resident, Emily McGuire, celebrated her birthday. Now Emily, who works as a photographer, is something of an online shopping addict. She’s never happier than when she’s looking up things online and buying with one click. Indeed, she can sometimes receive more than three packages a day via courier.

To celebrate his wife’s shopaholic tendencies then, her spouse, Mac, decided to get her a bespoke cake in the shape of her favourite thing: an Amazon delivery box. Taking to Facebook, Emily shared a picture of the amazing cake, which looks totally identical to a real, Amazon-stamped cardboard box.

Emily captioned the picture: “In that moment, I knew my husband ‘gets me'”.

The cake was created by a team of master bakers working from the Sweet Dreams Bakery, in the town of Dunn.

Commenting on the cake’s popularity in a recent interview, one of the bakers, Trena Norris, stated: “It definitely has been an exciting few days since this went viral. Thank you to Mac and Emily for allowing us to make her birthday a little ‘sweeter.’ We hope to create more special cakes for them in the future.”

Mac, we salute you buddy. You really must know your wife well…
