Pizza is without a doubt the greatest food of all time. It is amazing how a combination of dough, tomato sauce, cheese, and toppings could be so revolutionary and joy-giving – but it is.
Just check out this McDonald’s-inspired Big Mac pizza:
However, despite the basic elements of pizza being rather simple, it is still possible to get this beloved dish VERY wrong, as one man by the name of Patrick S. quickly found out.
Sharing his pizza order to the Twitter page Rate My Takeaway, Patrick’s abomination take out meal was revealed with the group’s 12,500+ members.
Now, we’re all savvy to the controversial “does pineapple go on pizza?” debate. Well, as it turns out, Patrick likes strawberry slices on his pizza.
Unsurprisingly, the reviews were not kind…
The tweet of Patrick’s fruity pizza received over 300 comments, with the first one I came across reading: “I’d rather s**t in my hands and clap than eat that!”
Another person commented: “I’m seriously regretting that asteroid missed us last month.”
And a third wrote: “Check his attic … he’s bound to have a few hostages”.
A fourth added: “I don’t know who I hate more. The person who prepared this or the person who ordered.
“Either way, they both deserve to have shampoo continuously poured into their eyes for an hour”.
Now, everything that is written above may seem extreme, but it is damn hard to deny that the original poster deserves it.
And the pizza blasphemy sadly doesn’t end there.
At the start of the year, a Redditor with the handle u/nre1313 took to the subreddit sh*ttyfoodporn, to post an image of a large pizza that was topped with tomatoes, cheese, strips of ham, and weirdest of all, slices of green kiwifruit.
The Redditor captioned their post: “Kiwi pizza from a Danish pizzeria, an unholy abomination. [sic]”
Not long after posting the snap, a number of social media users crawled out of the woodwork to express their feelings with the unconventional culinary creation, and suffice to say, not everyone was too happy with it.
For instance, someone with the handle ColonTurdis wrote: “I actually see this working with the right other ingredients. Kiwi has a similar flavor as pineapple. But that texture after cooking ?[sic].” Someone else going by the handle directhex added: “This is the slippery slope that permitting pineapple has resulted in.”
Italy, I can only apologize…
