Got your Halloween costume for this year, yet? Well, Colin the Caterpillar has…
That’s right. Marks and Spencer has dropped a mummified Colin the Caterpillar cake just in time for spooky season.
Throwing a Halloween party? Make sure you stock up on this little guy. Watch him being mummified below:
Dubbed Double Choc Yummy Mummy Colin the Caterpillar (£12), the cake is coated in a double layer of chocolate.
Extra indulgent, it has Colin’s classic milk chocolate coating and an extra layer of creamy white chocolate as well.
Colin regularly gets a seasonal makeover – he previously got one for the Queen’s jubilee and Mother’s Day.
We’ve also seen copious Halloween looks from M&S’ cake character over the years, including a Franken Colin and a Creepy Colin, however this one might well be our favourite.

Sharing their new cake design on Instagram, M&S wrote: “Our limited-edition, double choc yummy mummy Colin the Caterpillar is here!
“He’s coated in a layer of Colin’s classic milk chocolate AND a layer of creamy white chocolate – WOW.”
And it’s safe to say that people were excited.
“This must be the best caterpillar cake ever,” wrote one person in the comments.
Whilst another gushed: “Well this looks absolutely unbelievable!!”
“Never mind the decorations, we’re getting one of these,” said someone else.

There are other Halloween products launching too, including risky roulette sweets (£1.75), which come with a surprise mix or sweet and sour, and Mummy Mini Colin the Caterpillar Cakes (£2.75).
You can also get a Colin the Caterpillar “creepy melting milk chocolate stirrer” (£2). The mini Colin comes on a stick and is suitably scary, with a green head and red eyes, and the idea is that you pop his head into your milk to make a hot chocolate.
Buy some of these and you can guarantee you’ll stay in the trick or treater’s good books…
