A mom has taken to social media to share her brilliantly simple chocolate chip and Nutella cheesecake recipe.
Posting in the Facebook group Crockpot/Slow Cooker Recipes & Tips Leanne Short shared her recipe, and it’s so easy that you’ll be wondering why you never thought of it before – especially during lockdown!
Check out this recipe for Twisted’s giant apple crumble cheesecake:
Pictured below is the finished creation, and as we’re sure you’ll agree, it looks absolutely delicious.
She captioned the post: “I had a go at a cheesecake today, this is the recipe I used.
“I had to adjust it for my small slow cooker, if doing it in a large one, you may want to double the mix and cook for longer.”
This is the exact list of ingredients that you’ll need to make the cheesecake:
- 120g biscuits
- 80g melted butter
- 250g cream cheese
- 100ml sour cream
- 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon plain flour
- 1 tbs cornflour
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Chocolate chunks and Nutella
The recipe involves creating a biscuit base from the biscuit and melted butter and mixing and pouring the remaining ingredients on top. It must then be cooked on a low setting in a slow cooker for four to five hours.
After, let the cake chill for three hours in the fridge, and it will be ready to serve. It really is, well, a piece of cake!
While Short used chocolate to flavor her cheesecake, as you’ll tell from the recipe, it can be altered slightly to allow a variety of ingredients like orange zest and blueberries.
Needless to say, members of the Facebook group where Short shared the recipe were impressed.
One wrote: “Yet another thing I NEVER knew that one could make in a slow cooker!”
A second added: “Omg someone pass be a massive spoon”
Meanwhile, a third simply remarked: “Looks delicious.”
