Hands up if you love garlic bread? And crisps?

If your hand remained firmly raised for both of the above then you are in luck...

Aldi has announced the return of its hugely popular Specially Selected Garlic Bread Crisps, which were a sell-out success last time they hit shelves.

The crisps are retailing for £1.15 for a 150g bag, and come as part of its Italian Range, landing on shelves 19th May.

Unsurprisingly, the flavour is smokey garlic with toasty undertones. They sound pretty darn delish, right?

The garlicky bags are back for a second time this year after a lot of hype in February, with customers calling for the crisps to be a permanent fixture since their release back in 2023.

“My dream crisps – I love these so much," said someone when food blog, @aldishoppersuk originally shouted about the product.

"OMG I wrote an email last month asking for them to bring them back," said someone else, whilst another on TikTok tagged a friend and wrote: "No we need to try".

There was some uncertainty, with one person writing: "Not sure how i feel about that [flavour]."

But people were quick to reassure any doubters, with another noting: "They're lush".

"Those crisps are ridiculous. How can they taste of actual garlic bread but be crisps. I monched a whole bag in a sitting. 10/10, would do again," someone else said of the unique crisp flavour.

Noted. We'll be stocking up immediately.

If you're intrigued, too, then you might be interested in some advice one Aldi shopper gave on Reddit.

In the page CasualUK, they wrote: "Pro tip: Aldi's garlic bread flavour crisps make the best crisp sandwich ever."

We can totally see this.

However, one Reddit user responded making a rather good point...

"So you’ve taken garlic bread flavoured crisps and added them to bread, thereby essentially just adding garlic flavouring to bread, which in turn is just a really long winded way of making garlic bread," they wrote. Touché.
