Christmas dinner as a vegan can be a sorry affair if left in the wrong hands.
Head to your nans (you know, the one who is staunchly against your plant-based lifestyle) and you might find yourself with little more than sprouts and a few dry spuds.
But fear not, vegan pals! ASDA has now launched an imitation turkey, so you can join in on Christmas dinner and keep your family happy.
The vegan turkey is part of an extensive plant-based range they've launched this year, and looks strikingly similar to the real thing.

And look at it... pretty convincing right?
It's made from a mix of wheat, soya and pea proteins, and developed to have a texture the same as the Christmas bird, with a white 'flesh' as you cut into the crown.
Dubbed the OMV! Vegan No Turkey, this centrepiece landed in stores on December 14th, and costs just £6.
If that tickles your fancy, other products in the range include the OMV! Oyster & Porcini Mushroom Wellington and the OMV! Mushrooms Pigs in Smoky Aubergine Bacon.
“Although we are seeing a growing trend towards more vegetable-centric options in the meat-free category, we recogniSe that meat-analogue options still account for the biggest portion of our sales and are very popular with our customers,” as Asda spokesperson said in a statement to Plant Based News.
“Building on the success of our no turkey crown from last year, we have developed a first to market concept which is our OMV! whole no turkey.”
If a whole vegan turkey won't suit the table, you can also order a OMV! No Turkey & Trimmings For One meal, which comes with a serving of vegan turkey and sides for just £3.50.
Not too shabby, ey?
At the very least, this is probably gonna rile up some of your opinionated relatives, and prove a conversation starter – but the reviews of the OMV! range are pretty fab, too.
So, if you're vegan and deciding your festive plant-based main, this could be a worthy pick!
