Baileys is releasing a chocolate flavoured cream liqueur in UK supermarkets, and we can't wait to try it.

Yup, just in time for cosy szn, the Irish Cream Liqueur has released Baileys Chocolate, a cocoa infused tipple that's bound to satisfy that sweet tooth.

The drink promises the same creamy, indulgent, boozy notes you'd usually get from a Baileys, but with the addition of sweet milk chocolate.

It launched in Tesco yesterday (17th September), and is due to roll out across all major supermarkets in October.

Costing £16.50, with a 15.7 percent ABV, adding this to your drinks cabinet is a no brainer.

Charlotte Gibbon, Director of Gins, Pimms, Baileys, and Non-alc at Diageo GB, said of the launch: “This might just be our sweetest launch yet…we’re so excited to bring UK fans another unmissable Baileys treat: Baileys Chocolate."

She added that the drink was "the perfect adult treat to relax with as cosy season approaches", noting, "consumers are looking for something sweet to brighten up the darker days. I’ll be having mine over ice!”

Other serving suggestions for Baileys include Baileys Mocha Martini, or even drizzling the tipple over a dessert to add a boozy kick.

The folks at Baileys have released the recipe for the Baileys Mocha Martini, and you can check it out below.

Method

  1. To begin, add all of the ingredients (except the garnishes) into a cocktail shaker with ice.

  3. For the finishing touch, garnish with three espresso beans, a dusting of cocoa powder, and chocolate shavings – divine!
  4. Sip and enjoy.

Baileys has been loading us up with treats recently, as it was only a few months ago that the brand bought back its Birthday Cake Cream Liqueur, too.

Made with notes of "sweet vanilla cake and rich buttercream frosting", the bottles were available to coincide with the drink's 125th anniversary.

It dropped in Morrisons for a limited time, and (like when it initially retailed in 2021), was an absolute hit.
