Baskin-Robbins has just released a breakfast flavoured ice cream

You know what they say about breakfast (we won’t bore you with the cliche, but it’s beloved for a reason).

Whether your go to is a fry up or french toast, far beyond just being a tasty way to start your day, the meal is often deemed a way to show love.

Which is why Baskin-Robbins has decided to theme their latest Mother’s Day release around the meal.

Yep, breakfast-flavoured ice cream is a thing.

The flavour being released is going to be limited edition, dropping as the flavour of the month, and has been aptly named Breakfast in Bed – the perfect treat for mum if you’re celebrating Mother’s Day in the States.

The ice cream boasts flavours of “all your breakfast favorites in one pink spoonful.”

And before you scoff, given that it’s an American launch, there’s no bacon and egg going on here – we’re talking buttermilk pancake with maple syrup, pancake pieces and blueberry compote.

Now that we can get behind.

The Breakfast in Bed flavour is just one new launch from Baskin-Robbins, as the brand is also bringing out a Tall Stack Cake, which is designed to look like a stack of pancakes.

Pancakes it isn’t though. The stack is actually an ice cream cake, which comes with a caramel praline topping, made to look like the syrup you’d drizzle on top, and a ‘knob of butter’ which is actually vanilla ice cream.

The best part about the Tall Stack Cake is that it is customisable, so you can pick your favourite Baskin-Robbins ice cream and cake flavours to build it from.

Unfortunately for UK shoppers, the ice creams are part of a US Mother’s Day drop, which means they won’t be arriving on our shelves any time soon (sob).

But lucky Americans can snag the ice cream from the closest of the chain’s 2,500 stores throughout the month.

Mother’s Day US falls on the 8th May, but if we were you we’d stock up on these ice creams to enjoy far beyond the weekend.
