Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

How much do you love cheese? Enough to order a burger with absolutely nothing else in it?

Wait… isn’t that just a cheese sandwich?

Whatever you wanna call it, that’s what’s on offer at Burger King Thailand, in the shape of their new release: The Real Cheese Burger.

The burger has absolutely no patty, sauce or toppings.

Instead, it’s whole contents is just 20 slices of American cheese. Thats’s it. Are you sold?

“This is no joke. This is for real,” Burger King Thailand wrote in Thai as it promoted the new menu item. “The real cheeseburger is full of flavour for those who love cheese,”

Well, you can say that again.

We love cheese too, but we wouldn’t mind a patty and some sauce in there, as well.

The fast food joint went on to joke that other cheese burgers were “screaming” at the new release, and encouraged people to give it a try.

The burger costs 109 Thai baht (which is equivalent to £2.50), compared to a regular burger which costs 380 baht (£8.42), and is available in Thailand right now, for a limited time.

Reacting to the burger since it launched, some people loved the idea, whilst others echoed our scepticism.

“Burger King Thailand new cheeseburger. Mate, that’s a cheese sandwich,” one wrote.

As another joked: “Everyday we stray further from God’s light.”

“I would eat the Thai burger king cheeseburger,” a third protested.

Whilst a fourth commented: “Burger King in Thailand took my midnight fridge feast and ran with it.”

We don’t yet know if the quirky new burger/ sandwich will be landing in stores elsewhere in the world, but we’d guess this is a specific dish to Thailand.

We’ll put a petition in for Burger King UK to launch the same burger over here but with a patty and sauces, too. Now that’s a cheese burger we can get behind.
