You can now buy a giant 4.5kg Toblerone bar

Have you got a friend in your life that loves Toblerones? Like, really loves them?

Well, why not weigh down their stocking with a supersize version of the chocolate bar, which weighs a whopping 4.5kg.

Yup, what better gift than a chocolate bar the same weight as a cat? There surely can’t be a better way to show someone you love them.

A jumbo version of the distinctly shaped Swiss chocolate bar, with honey and almond nougat, is available at Costco stores up and down the UK, and will set customers back £49.99.

Granted, £50 is a lot for a Toblerone, but it certainly has the wow factor, and would last a long time (except if we got hold of it mid-Christmas binge!)

If you don’t live near a Costco, or aren’t a member, you can also grab the chocolate bar online from their website for a slightly pricier £65.49.

Plus, it’s available on Amazon, and various gifting websites (although prices vary and can reach as high as £80).

As the Costco bar was shared by food blog New Foods UK, it’s safe to say that people were excited.

“All your Christmas’ come at once,” wrote one, tagging a pal.

Whilst another simply wrote: “Holy crap”.

“I’ll have this for Christmas,” said another.

There were some who were put off by the price, though.

“Sorry, no, I love Toblerone but not paying £49.99,” said one critic.

As a fellow Instagram user quipped: “And they say there’s a cost of living crisis”.

“Buy 13 big ones in any super market More chocolate and £15 better off,” suggested a third.
