Franco Manca is serving a whole Sunday roast on a pizza for Christmas

If you’re looking for a reason to be jolly today, might we suggest Franco Manca’s new Christmas menu?

The pizza chain, which has branches all around the UK, has just announced its menu for the festive season, and it’s the perfect fusion of two of our favourite things: Christmas food and Italian food.

For those who aren’t aware, Franco Manca specialises in pizzas with a sourdough base, and over the holidays their signature dough will be topped with everything from Brussels sprouts to Yorkshire puddings.

Perhaps the most exciting addition to their Christmas menu is a pizza topped with all the best bits of a roast dinner – we’re talking potato, gravy and even a Yorkshire Pudding.

Dubbed The Roast Topside of Beef Pizza, the creation will also feature succulent beef (duh), and tenderstem broccoli, mozzarella, taleggio cheese.

You can also order the likes of the Porchetta Pizza, made with Brussels sprouts, mozzarella, Colston Bassett Stilton, a Yorkshire pudding and gravy.

And veggies don’t have to miss out, either, as they’ve got a delicious pizza served with a butternut squash cream base, and topped with wilted spinach, halloumi, mozzarella and pomegranate seeds and hazelnuts, finished with a balsamic glaze.

If things couldn’t get any better, Franco Manca has also launched three new dips, including – wait for it – a dippable pot of warm gravy.

Your crusts won’t know what has hit ’em.

In honour of the sheer amount of cheese consumed at Christmas, you’ll also be able to order a Cheese Fonduta with taleggio, Colston Bassett Stilton and Franco and Cantarelli cheeses, served with warm sourdough bread or an Oven-baked Bruschetta which comes with baby plum tomatoes and Prosociano vegan cheese.

They’re also introducing a Vibrant Winter Salad, made with oranges, shallots, pomegranate, prosociano vegan cheese and fennel, served with hazelnuts and a lemon vinaigrette.

And don’t forget dessert! The Christmas menu will include a Caramel Pecan Cheesecake, Homemade Tiramisu and Italian Affogato.

Alfonso Marseglia, Executive Chef at Franco Manca, said: “This Christmas we wanted to do things differently by bringing together an extraordinary duo – our famous sourdough pizza and all the ingredients of a classic British roast dinner.

“That’s right, we’ve put Yorkshire pudding on a pizza. Whether you’re going for the beef, the pork or the veggie option, we can guarantee you’ve never experienced pizza quite like this before!”
