Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Ever feel like you just haven’t found your calling in life? We don’t know about you, but we just want to be sipping gin in a castle, living a life of luxury.

Oh, wait, what’s that? We can?! And someone will pay us to do so?

Yup, that’s right folks. A Scottish gin brand is looking for an official ‘gin-tern’ to taste its products, and they’ll chuck in £500 and accommodation in a literal castle for the lucky applicant.

King’s Hill is looking for someone to visit Scotland’s Pentland Hills and sample all of its different gins, focusing on summery botanical flavours.

As well as forking up 500 big ones, the gin taster will be able to stay in Dalhousie Castle, which is a luxury hotel just a stones thrown from Edinburgh.

Summer mini break, anyone?

The castle will also be where the lucky individual gets to sample gin daily, and they’ll get a tour of the distillery, too.

Hannah Fletcher, brand manager for Tŷ Nant Water, the parent company of King’s Hill, said: “As summer draws closer, there’s nothing quite like sipping gin in the sun – it’s a special experience, and we wanted to take this to the next level for one lucky gin lover.

“Our distillery is nestled in a breath-taking location right on the outskirts of Edinburgh, so we also wanted to make sure our next Gin-tern would get the full King’s Hill experience.

“After all, there is no better place to enjoy our award-winning gin than here, right at the heart of the Scottish Pentland Hills.

“We’d like to invite anyone with a distinguished palate and a love for all things gin to apply and become our first-ever Gin-tern.”

To apply, you have to be over 18 (duh), and love gin and all things botanical.

You have until the 18th July to get your application over, and you can do so by clicking here.

If we were you we wouldn’t sleep on this one, it sounds too good to be true…
