We’ve all binged Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, haven’t we?

The show, in which the celebrity chef turned up at failing restaurants and angrily whipped them into shape, was on air for seven seasons from 2004 up until 2014.

Need a reminder? You can watch a clip below:

Now, it’s reported to be returning, almost a decade after it was last on screens.

Yup, Deadline reports that Fox has confirmed a Kitchen Nightmares revival is part of its new programming slate.

Studio Ramsay – the chef’s own TV production company – is set to work on the series, and Gordon will be back in his sweary starring role.

The history of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares

Kitchen Nightmares was originally called Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares when it launched in 2004, and it didn’t take long before it was a household fave.

This series ran across UK restaurants for five seasons, before ending in 2007 and becoming Kitchen Nightmares over in the US.

The chef spent his time revamping menus, forcing chefs to properly scrub their dirty kitchens and often completely redesigning their spaces before reopening them.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Ramsay production without a flared temper – a controversial trait that the chef has been criticised for in the past, but that nonetheless remains his USP today.

The most recent series, filmed in 2014, was filmed back in the UK, for Channel 4.

However, the next instalment looks to be focusing on US eateries again, given it is airing on Fox.

When does Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares air?

Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares returns at some point in Fox’s 2023-24 slate.

We haven’t yet been given exact details as to when the series will be hitting screens, or, indeed, if it has started filming, but we’ll let you know as soon as we have more specific info.

What channel is Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares on in the UK?

Kitchen Nightmares is airing on Fox, which unfortunately isn’t a channel we get here in the UK.

But fear not! Many Fox shows often air on alternative streamers like Amazon Prime, whilst Disney+ boasts all Fox UK programmes from 2021 and onwards.

There is no announcement on whether Gordon’s show will follow suit, but we’d be very surprised if there was no way for those in his home country to watch.

We’ll keep you in the loop, obvs!
