Vegan steak bakes are once again back in stores, after a two year hiatus from menus.
Yup, in order to see in Veganuary, Greggs is topping up its already-rather-impressive plant-based menu by bringing back the fan favourite.
Landing in stores today (Jan 4th) the steak bakes are priced from just £2 (the exact price can vary depending on the store).
The vegan steak bake first landed on menus in 2020, a year after the brand's iconic and super-convincing vegan sausage roll, which sent Piers Morgan into a frenzy.

The pastry comes coated in thin and crispy layers of puff pastry and the filling is made of Quorn, with diced onions and meat-free gravy chucked in there, too.
Vegans can also tuck into the glazed ring doughnut, a sweet potato and onion bhaji rice box and southern fried potato wedges, as well as a vegan sausage breakfast roll and hash browns.
The return of the Greggs steak bake has definitely caused a stir on the internet.
"Greggs vegan steak bake is back, this has to be a good omen for 2024," said one person on Twitter.
Whilst another wrote "my prayers have been answered."
Following its return, people are also calling for more plant-based Greggs pastries to make a comeback, including the Sausage, Bean, and CheeZe Melt. Greggs, if you're reading this, you know what to do!

The bakery chain has made a name for itself as the vegan go-to spot, after their sausage roll proved their was a gap in the market.
Sales rose by 14.7 percent in six months when the vegan sausage roll first launched, so it's no wonder they rushed to create more plant-based options in its wake.
