Heinz has done it again, guys.
The condiment brand has only gone and collaborated with Iceland to bring us the breakfast mashup we never knew we needed – ketchup filled hash browns.
Yup, everyone likes to dip a hash brown in ketchup on a lazy weekend, but what if you could skip that step altogether?
The product looks kinda like a fish finger at first glance, but it’s actually a crispy fried potato, with the welcome addition of the nation’s beloved tomatoey sauce.
The ketchup filled hash browns are landing in Iceland stores from next week (August 28th), costing £3 per pack.
The exciting new product comes after Heinz launched baked bean filled hash browns back in autumn and they were hugely successful.
When Heinz shared the new product on Instagram, it’s safe to say that people were excited.
“Oh my gosh,” wrote one person after spotted them on their grid.
Whilst another simply wrote: “MASSIVE NEWS!!!!!”
“I NEED,” penned a third.
However, not everyone was sold.
“Not sure how I feel about these,” someone else chimed in.
What’s not to like about ketchup hash browns?!
Andrew Staniland, the group buying director at Iceland Foods, said: “We’re constantly looking to bring new and exciting innovations to our customers, and we cannot wait to see their reaction to this one-of-a-kind product.
“Following the success of the Heinz Beanz Filled Hash Browns, it was time to introduce a new Heinz frozen product to the range, aimed at bringing delight to our breakfast-loving customers, so they can enjoy a double amount of Heinz with their sausage and egg.”
