Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Attention, fellow pickle people!

Heinz has just launched a new version of its tomato ketchup infused with pickle flavours, and it sounds like a big dill..

The condiment mixes the “tangy and savoury flavour of pickles with the unmistakable taste of Heinz ketchup”.

Heinz promise the ketchup is a great addition to toasties, slathered on top of sausages or drizzled on top of “crusty bread and cheese in a pickly ploughman’s.”

It goes without saying it’s perfect on burgers, too – think about it… pickles and burgers are a match made in heaven.

Thiago Rapp, Head of Heinz Comms and Brand Build at Heinz said: “At Heinz, we’ve been at the forefront of food innovation for more than 150 years and we’re always thinking about how we can play with the unmistakeable taste of our ketchup.

“We know there are lots of pickle fans out there, so it made sense to bring two of the nation’s favourite flavours, Heinz Tomato Ketchup and tangy pickle, together.

“We’ve been hard at work perfecting the best recipe and we’re sure you’re going to love it. It’s dill-licious”.

Heinz confirmed the news after it was shared on food blog, UK Snack Attack, promising that it was in fact real and shoppers weren’t dreaming.

“OMG,” said one person in response.

Whilst another gushed: “Pickles and pickle juice (gherkin) are used in burger sauce and in relish… nothing wrong with it… would love to try this.”

Over on Heinz’ own Insta there was also a lot of hype.

“This sounds up my street,” said another fan of the product.
