You can now buy a Jaffa Cake gin to make the perfect Easter tipple

It would be totally fair to assume that things couldn’t get much better than the humble Jaffa Cake.

But wait… it turns out they can.

Morrisons is now selling Jaffa Cake gin, and it’s the perfect tribute to the famous biscuit-sized cake.

The orange-chocolate-infused beverage – which was named the World’s Best Flavoured Gin in the World Gin Awards 2022 – is the perfect tipple to wow Easter guests (or drink by yourself!).

It is distilled with oranges, fresh orange peel, cocoa powder and real-life Jaffa cakes.

Ooof. We don’t know about you, but reckon that could make a remarkably good Negroni… 

Apparently the drink is meant to smell of zingy orange with a chocolate undertone and traces of vanilla-rich cake. Drool.

There’s touch of almond excellence in the aroma, too. 

As for the taste? The sweet liquor is meant to taste exactly like the chocolate orange snack.

In the spirit of Easter, we thought we’d provide a cheeky recipe for a Jaffa Cake Gin Negroni.

Jaffa Cake Gin Negroni

You’ll need: 

• 50ml Jaffa Cake Gin
• 50ml Campari
• 50ml Red vermouth
• A Jaffa cake to decorate

Method 

1. Fill a glass with ice and pour over all ingredients.
2. Then, mix gently for 15 seconds.
3. Embellish with a Jaffa Cake.

Easy, right?!

You can also try making a Mimosa with Jaffa Cake Gin, which involves mixing Prosecco, OJ and the gin. 

The key is for you to refrigerate all ingredients ahead of time and then pour them into a champagne flute when it’s ready.

Finish off by ornamenting with the popular treat.
