Any time you can get cheap fried chicken is worth celebrating. When that chicken happens to be KFC’s signature popcorn poultry, however, you can afford to get seriously excited.
In news that will delight fans as they struggle through Blue Monday, the Colonel is offering 50% off popcorn chicken all week.
To help you get your fried chicken fix, here’s everything you need to know about the exciting offer.
How to get half-price popcorn chicken at KFC
The deal is part of a much wider KFC January sale, which offers customers discounts on much of the KFC menu.
For the popcorn chicken promotion, however, things are a little more complicated than turning up with an empty bucket.

In order to get the deal, customers will first have to download the official KFC app.
From there, you should navigate to the “Offers and Rewards” section, where you will find a code for 50% off popcorn chicken.
To make matters even more exciting, the offer includes fries and a drink
Although it’s impossible to say exactly what the discount will be, as prices vary by location, any reduction is worth getting excited about.
Unfortunately, you cannot use the code for delivery, as it has to be manually scanned by KFC staff. This means that your only option is to pick your food up either in-store or at a drive-thru.
Still, half-price popcorn chicken is nothing to be sniffed at.
What’s in the KFC January sale?
If this is the first you’re hearing about the KFC January then you’ve already missed out on delicious discounted treats.
For the first week of January, customers had the opportunity to enjoy half-price Twister Fillet and Zinger wraps. Last week, the offer included both an ordinary Tower and Zinger tower meal.

Although details on what will be included in the final week of the promotion remain uncertain, some reports suggest that it will be KFC’s much-vaunted Vegan Burger.
If true, this could reduce the exciting item to as little as £1.99. We have reached out to KFC to confirm, but have not heard back at the time of writing.
Whatever ends up being on the menu, January is certainly a good month to be a fried chicken fan.
