KitKat is dropping a new Chunky Hazelnut bar

Get ready to stock up your chocolate stash, because KitKat is apparently launching Hazelnut Chunky bars and they sound like a dream.

Yup, as if KitKat Chunkys weren’t great enough, you can now buy the Nestlé chocolate bars filled with hazelnut cream.

The bar is expected to be made just like your classic KitKat Chunky, with crispy wafer encased in milk KitKat chocolate.

The only addition is the nutty addition of hazelnut creme in between the wafer layers. It giving Kinder Bueno, and we’re not mad at it!

We don’t have intel on where the hazelnut KitKat will be stocked yet, but we’ll update you as soon as we know more.

If you’re thinking you recognise the chocolate bar, that’s because it actually launched on a smaller scale in the UK three years ago, after a successful debut over in Australia.

The KitKat Chunky Hazelnut bars were only available in smaller shops at the time, so you’re unlikely to have found one in the supermarket.

So, here’s hoping this news is a sign it could be getting the bigger rollout it deserves.

The news of the returning chocolate bar was teased on Instagram recently, with Insta food blog @treatsinstore being one of the first to tell its followers at the weekend.

“Hazelnut cream. That’s what a Bueno is, right?,” said the Instagram page. “A Bueno/ KitKat collab seems unlikely any time soon, but this might just be the next best thing.”

Reacting to the post online, people were quick to share their excitement about the new product launch, too.

“This is what dreams are made of,” said one person in the comments.

Whilst another wrote: “Finally.”

“Bitta me,” someone else chimed in.

As a fourth quipped: “Yes, please! I am more excited about this than the Biscoff.”

The last comment was referring to another KitKat bar that launched with tremendous success – the Lotus Biscoff KitKat Chunky.

It was such a favourite that in January they went on to launch a KitKat Chunky White Biscoff.

The bars are both coated with your chocolate or choice (milk or white), then inside the Chunky you’ll find layers of the caramel flavoured speculoos spread. Drool.
