McDonald's brings back the Breakfast Wrap after petitions from fans

McDonald's breakfast is a beloved institution to many – a hangover saviour, a weekend treat and a hash-brown addict's dream.

But there have been some who have claimed it just hasn't hit the same since the beloved Breakfast Wrap fell off menus in 2020.

As many as 22 petitions have been launched since to bring the morning menu item back, so it's safe to say the morning menu item had a substantial fanbase.

McDonald's said it also received 5000 DMs on Insta, and received "too many tweets to count."

The good news, if you were part of that fight, is that Maccies has finally listened to your prayers.

Yep, after nearly four years without it, the McDonald's Breakfast Wrap is BACK!

In case you need a reminder, the Breakfast Wrap comes stuffed with a pork sausage patty, two fried free-range eggs, a crispy potato rosti, a slice of bacon and cheese, stuffed into a tortilla wrap.

The eggs come in rounds this time, instead of the old folded ones, but other than that it's the same winning formula.

You can eat the Breakfast Wrap with either Ketchup or Brown Sauce.

The wrap is available with £4.39 on its own or you can pay £5.89 to get it with a drink and a hash brown.

It'll be back in stores from February 7th, but only for a limited time.

Here's hoping that if the wrap has a good reception then Maccies bosses will think about a more permanent return, though!

Reacting to the news of the Breakfast Wrap's return, people were certainly happy.

"Breakfast hasn’t been the same since they took the wrap away… I can’t wait," said one person on Instagram, as the news was announced.

Whilst another wrote: "Oh my word. Best Monday ever."

"I promise I'm not crying right now!!," said a third.

As a fourth, less subtly, chipped in: "I'M SOBBING MY EYES OUT THANK U MCDONALDS".

Listen, it's January and it's apparent that we all need some good news, right now!

If you wanna get your hands on a wrap then we recommend going to Maccies as soon as they launch in February, to avoid disappointment, and to ensure you get your fill.
