McDonald’s is giving away free fries for National french fry day

Fancy some fries today? Well, you could be in lock.
McDonald’s is honouring National French Fry Day in the States by offering up french fries for free.
Yep, Americans, run don’t walk!

You’ll be able to bag yourself a free medium fries if you head to your local Golden Arches today, but only if you do so via the Maccies app.
The best news is you don’t even need to purchase anything else to get the freebies.
All you need to do is download the McDonald’s app and make an account and the fries are yours for the taking.
Unfortunately for any Brits like us, the deal is only available in the US, because it’s not National French Fry Day over here (boo).

The deal only allows for one portion of french fries per customer, but you’re obviously welcome to pad out your order with some other goodies, too.
If we we’re in the US, we’d also be ordering a Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese, which is a limited edition menu item garnering a lot of hype ATM.
Oooft – we love a menu item with the word cheese in it twice.
McDonald’s dubs the burger a “spicier, cheesier take” on your typical Quarter Pounder with Cheese, featuring an additional dollop of creamy cheddar cheese sauce and pickled jalapeño slices.

This dropped a few days ago on menus across the US (July 10th), but will also be super limited, so go, go, go!
Free fries and a banging new burger? We’re not jealous at all.
