McDonald's is bringing back its iconic Halloween Happy Meal buckets, and we have a feeling they're gonna be *very* popular again.

The fast food giant shared news of the seasonal special, known as Monster Boo buckets, a couple of days ago, writing: "Happy spooky szn to all who celebrate. Boo buckets r back."

The buckets come in four colours, blue, orange, green, and white, and each design features a different monster face.

They are only around for a very limited time over the Halloween season, in replacement of the classic red Happy Meal boxes.

The buckets are only launching in the US, where they have become popular in years gone by.

You can get your hands on one by... you guessed it, ordering a Happy Meal. It really is that simple!

McDonald's claims you can personalise your pail too, as they come with stickers.

Plus the monster designs have had an upgrade since last year so there are more to collect.

After McDonald's spilled the news of the Halloween Happy Meal buckets, fans over on X shared their excitement.

"Need," said one person immediately in the comments.

Whilst another wrote: "It’s that time again," alongside a ghost emoji.

"Woo hoo! Thank you Mickey D’s," someone else chimed in.

"Alright!!! I love Boo Buckets!! I literally use them to trick or treat!" noted a fourth.

Other people flocked to the comments to say they'd be collecting one bucket in each colour.

Having first landed all the way back in 1986, the seasonal Halloween Happy Meal has cropped up on the odd year – most recently back in 2016.

So, it’s safe to say kids who enjoyed them then will be a lot more grown up now, and a whole new generation will be ready to enjoy them, too.

(But psst, we won’t judge if adults want to get in on the Halloween Happy Meal fun, too.
