Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Maccies fans, listen up. You’re going to want to schedule in a visit in the next few weeks, because the McSpicy chicken burger is back.

The fan favourite is a regular on menus in Hong Kong, Singapore, The Philippines and Indonesia, but it made its debut in the UK last year to huge fanfare.

Dubbed the hottest ever chicken burger to grace McDonald’s branches over here, it’s basically a spicy chicken breast fillet with crunchy iceberg lettuce on top, and mayo slathered in-between two toasted sesame seed buns.

You can grab the McSpicy for £4.29 or fork out £5.79 for a medium meal.

It’s not the only returning menu item, either.

You can also get your hands on the Grand Big Mac (which costs £4.79 or £6.29 for a medium meal). This one is for the hungry Maccies fans amongst us, made up of two beef patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles, bacon and Big Mac sauce, all stuffed in a bun.

Plus, there’s also a Grand Big Mac with Bacon (£5.29 or £6.69 for a medium meal) on offer. You can’t say they don’t spoil us!

Our fave menu addition might well be the Cheesy Garlic Bites (£1.99), though. They’re made with a blend of mozzarella and Emmental cheese in a garlic herb coating, served with a rich tomato dip.

And for dessert? Try a Flake Raspberry and Flake Chocolate McFlurry, which costs £1.39 for a regular or a pocket-friendly 99p for a mini.

The arrival of these new dishes means that, unfortunately, a few other items have to go. Sadly, the Big Tasty range will be leaving branches, alongside the Homestyle Crispy Chicken, Chilli Cheese Bites, the Cadbury Caramel McFlurry and the Creme Egg McFlurry.

All of the new menu items will only be available for six weeks, so run, don’t walk.

Many will likely remember that whilst the Chicken Big Mac was on sale for a limited time, it actually left menus ahead of time because it was so darn popular.

The burger was placed on menus for a limited run until mid-March, but two weeks in it started disappearing from people’s local branches.

Sharing the news on Twitter, McDonald’s said at the time: “Well, that escalated quickly. Your love for the limited edition Chicken Big Mac knew no bounds and it’s sold out almost everywhere.”

If we were you, we wouldn’t risk the same happening with the McSpicy.
