McDonald's launches new mini hash browns on breakfast menus

Sound the klaxon, because McDonald's breakfast just got a whole lot better.

The fast food giant is launching a brand new addition to menus, and it's a corker.

Thought it couldn't get better than McDonald's hash browns? Well, how about McDonald's mini hash browns?

We're believers that everything is better when bitesized, and it seems that the folks at the Golden Arches think the same.

If you love a classic McDonald’s hash brown then these are for you, offering "the same golden crunch and fluffy potato goodness in a new and fun style."

McDonald's promise: "Each mini hash brown is made to deliver the same irresistible crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior that we have all come to love."

A single portion of the hash brown bites will set you back £1.49, and that means five pieces – perfect for a quick breakfast bite.

Meanwhile, a share-box comes with fifteen mini hash brown bites inside it (but we won't tell if you scoff the lot yourself!).

The mini hash browns are only available for a limited time at McDonald's branches across the UK, from October 16th.

They're also only around for the brekky menu, which runs between 6am-11am, so you're gonna have to book in a morning McDonald's trip if you want to try them.

McDonald's has become renowned for its hash browns since launching its breakfast menu in the US in the 1970s.

The UK's version of McDonald’s breakfast the came in the early 1980s, and we've been loving the fried potato slabs alongside our Egg McMuffin ever since.

You only have to look on X [formerly Twitter] to see the love we feel for these potato-ey delights.

"The hash browns from McDonalds are absolutely incredible," one person has written.

While another wrote: "The McDonalds hashbrown is one of the best fast food items."

It remains to be seen what people will make of the mini versions, but we are personally very on board!
