McDonald's Monopoly return date announced, alongside list of prizes

McDonald's Monopoly is officially making a comeback next week, and the prizes have just been announced.

Yup, the fast food giant recently announced its beloved game would be back on September 4th, and the goods on offer this year are even better than ever.

We're personally very here for a brand offering us delicious food *and* a chance to win free stuff.

Up for grabs there's everything from £100K cash to dream holidays, MINI electric cars to McDonald’s Gold Cards, which gives you a free Maccies for free every week for a year. Can't argue with that, really, can we?

If you aren't familiar with McDonald's Monopoly, firstly, where have you been? But secondly, we'll give you the lowdown.

The promotion launched back in 2005 and works in a similar way to the classic board game. Basically, you have the chance to win prizes by making your order as normal, but collecting game pieces found on the packaging of various menu items, from fries to wraps to drinks.

All you have to do is peel off the game pieces and you'll win free food and Instant Win prizes, but you can also collect Property pieces of the same colour (like in the board game) for a chance to win bigger prizes via the McDonald's app.

You'll also get a Digital Peel via the app, which is basically another chance to win.
