McDonald's new menu launches today and there's never before seen items

McDonald's has just launched its new menu, and there's some absolute corkers on there.

To celebrate the chain's 50th anniversary here in the UK, the Golden Arches, dropped a bunch of new items from 11am today (17th July).

Now, we know what you're thinking, a new Maccies menu isn't anything special... but wait.

Alongside some returning favourites, there are also some extra exciting new additions.

The first items making a comeback are the Double Big Mac and Double Big Mac with Bacon, both limited edition favourites.

The burgers come with quadruple beef patties, a slice of American cheese, lettuce and onions, alongside pickles, and crispy bacon for the latter.

The McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse also returns to menus after a long hiatus, made of tender chicken breast fillets dipped in a crunchy coating, slathered in barbecue sauce and served with cheddar cheese in a sourdough bun.

The new additions are the real talking point, though.

Appearing on a menu for the first time globally, McDonald's is offering up Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers – a fromage-filled treat flavoured with chives and garlic in a ciabatta-style breadcrumb coating.

These come with McDonald's signature rich tomato dip, and if you want more than four (duh), they come in snackbox form too.

You can expect three brand new desserts, too.

First up is the Birthday Cake Donut - a sweet treat and a half, filled with a strawberry filling and covered with a buttercream icing and plenty of sprinkles.

The donut is giving a portion of money raised to McDonald's in house charity, to give families a 'home away from home' when kids are in hospital. Can't think of a better reason to order one than that!

There will also be two new McFlurry flavours – a Munchies Cookie Dough McFlurry and a Milkybar Raspberry Ripple McFlurry.

The former has chocolate coated Munchies biscuits scattered on the ice cream, alongside caramel cookie dough sauce, whilst the Milkybar offering comes with mini white chocolate drops and a sour raspberry sauce swirled into the ice cream.
