McDonald's is launching its new menu today - and pssst, there's a brand new, never before seen burger on the menu.

Yup, the Golden Arches has a beefy new addition, and it might be the chain's most exciting drop yet. Let's get into it.

Before we tell you about the burger, we should probably fill you in on the rest of the Maccies menu (yes, there will be eight new additions).

Smash hits include the Chicken Sharebox, which comes with six chicken selects, six nuggets and four dips, for £10.59, whilst you can also get a Nine Chicken Select Sharebox for £8.49.

At £2.39, you can get your hands on the much loved Mozzarella Bites from today, too, whilst Skittles or Galaxy Caramel McFlurry flavours have also made their way onto menus, at £2.19 a pop, alongside a Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie for just £1.99.

The Iced Latte is also returning to the McDonald's drinks menu, this time making a permanent comeback at £2.49.

Now, onto the part we've been waiting for.

Named 'The Hat Trick', the brand spanking new burger is making its debut on the Maccies menu to mark the arrival of a 'summer of sport,' and is "for when scoring once just isn't enough".

Costing £5.89 (or £7.69 for a meal), this is for those who have worked up an appetite (on or off the pitch), according to McDonald's reps, with not one but three "100 percent beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup, all in a glazed sesame seed bun."

Bosh.

Of course, as is aways the way, the arrival of new McDonald's goodness means we have to say some goodbyes.

Sadly, the Chicken Big Mac, Cheese and Herb Bites, the Quarter Pounder Deluxe and the Double Quarter Pounder Deluxe have all left menus for the time being.

Plus (get the tissues out) the Biscoff McFlurry and the Biscoff Frappe are no more, alongside the, the Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry and the Galaxy Caramel Pie.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Now, who wants an iced latte and a triple beef burger? Us, too!
