Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Fans of all things super hot…we have some news for you. McDonald’s has announced the return of one of its most popular menu items – the Spicy McNuggets.

Returning to restaurants on September 7th, for the first time since 2020, the spicy ‘nugs will be coming back with a brand new and improved recipe, as part of an exciting menu shakeup.

The fast food giant is promising they’ll be “spicier than before” – so only those who really like their Maccies with a kick should be messing with them.

If you want to get your hands on the nuggets, they will be priced at £3.49 for six. Plus, you’ll also be able to upgrade to nine pieces or 20 pieces if you fancy.

The ‘nugs will only be limited edition, so you’d better be quick if you wanna try the new recipe.

They’ll be going off sale on October 18th, giving customers just over a month to sample them.

It comes alongside the return of McDonald’s Monopoly, which returns on the same day.

In case you aren’t familiar with McDonald’s Monopoly, it started back in 2005, and works a lot like the actual game.

Customers are invited to collect custom game pieces which can be peeled off on menu items like chips, wraps, McFlurry’s and drinks.

These game pieces give people the chance to instantly win free food. Plus, they can collect pieces of the same colour to bag a bigger prize.

Last year, instant prizes included an Ibiza getaway, a Lay-Z-Spa hot tub and a £100 JD gift card. Meanwhile, people also won cash prizes and free Big Macs, Chicken McNuggets and Double Cheeseburgers.

Meanwhile, Maccies will also offer a new feature called Double Peel, which means participants are able to play the game again through the McDonald’s app.

The app will feature a digital gameboard and a wallet so that as well as playing via your food packets, you can join in interactively and feel more like you’re actually playing Monopoly.
