Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Move over chocolate overnight oats, there’s a new breakfast in town – and we’re very into it.

Nestlé has this week announced that it is set to come out with a KitKat cereal, adding that it’s ‘sure to delight fans’.

The brand new product is set to hit supermarket shelves nationwide in April, with the Swiss multinational food conglomerate revealing that the breakfast treat will still maintain the delicious taste of the wafer-covered chocolate bar.

KitKat announced the exciting new cereal via Twitter on March 7th, which just happens to be National Cereal Day!

Posting a short clip of some red curtains being pulled back to reveal the iconic red logo, writing: “Breaking news! KitKat® Cereal is coming soon to a breakfast near you! Who’s excited to try?”

Sarah Fordy, head of marketing at Cereal Partners UK & Ireland (the company responsible for Nestlé’s cereal) told Chronicle Live: “This exciting new cereal delivers a delicious taste of KitKat and has been developed to cater to consumers who are looking for an occasional, indulgent breakfast option, that can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.”

The chocolate cereal collab is only available in the UK for now, so if you’ve spotted them and you live elsewhere, you’re going to have to wait and hope for a further rollout.

Obviously the announcement was met with excitement on Twitter, with one person writing: “Oh my word….  life is now complete.”

“Now there’s no reason to skip breakfast,” the official UNO account chimed in.

Another user said: “KitKat you can’t do this to me, I started my diet yesterday […] (take my money).”

“We need a fruit and nut KitKat or butterscotch KitKat. Having the nuts in the waffel. Exterior it looks same but inside extra fun. Reward me if you like and use it. Thank you [sic],” said a fourth.

It looks as if KitKat cereal is gearing up to be the best thing to happen to breakfast since sliced bread!

Brb, we’re off to stock up immediately.
