Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Don’t you hate it when one of your favourite chocolates gets discontinued?

Well, if you’re one of the many people still lamenting the loss of the Coffee Creme from Quality Street boxes two decades ago, then listen up.

The Nestlé chocolate flavour will be making its way back to select stores very soon, meaning fans will be able to get their hands on it again.

It’ll be launching specifically in Waitrose and John Lewis stores over the festive period, starting on September 30th.

“Yes!!!!!! I love it when the customer is listened to! Well done Quality Street!!,” said one person in the comments.

Whilst another wrote: “Best news ever.”

“YAAASSSSSSS!!!!!! Please make it permanent! It’s one of the best flavours!,” a third person chimed in.

It comes after Quality Street asked the UK its favourite retro sweet a few years ago, and they voted Coffee Creme number one, with 39 percent of the vote.

“We’ve been keeping the exciting news of the return of the Coffee Creme tightly under wraps so it’s a huge relief to finally share it with Quality Street fans across the UK,” Quality Street Brand Manager, Samantha Hirst explained.

“We know it was the one that fans were keen to bring back when we asked the nation back in 2021, so it’s safe to say that we’re anticipating we’ll see some smiling faces at the news!”

As well as Coffee Creme’s return, shoppers will be able to fill their own bespoke tubs of Quality Street, picking their faves from 12 sweets to create their dream assortment.

The DIY Quality Street boxes will be available at John Lewis, meaning you can have a whole bloomin’ tub of the coffee chocs, if you want to.

“We’re delighted to be back in John Lewis with our pick and mix stations for 2023. It’s a lovely touch that shoppers can also personalise their tins*, making them an exceptional gift for the festive season,” the Quality Street rep added.

In the survey which revealed Coffee Creme was the most popular discontinued flavour, we also learnt that the Almond Octagon was second most popular, whilst Fruits of the Forest Creme and Jaffa Toffee fell third and fourth, followed by the Vanilla Octagon.

Here’s hoping they bring back some of these flavours next…
