Listen up, pumpkin spice squad.
Wendy’s is getting in on the autumn fun this year, launching a pumpkin spice Frosty across its branches.
The US fast food giant was likely inspired by the success of PSLs found at Starbucks, Costa and many more chains, and wanted to take a piece of the pie for themselves.
The drink “merges the same creamy, delectable texture Frosty fans know and love, with hints of pumpkin and a blend of warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg for a taste of familiar fall flavours in every bite.”
The pumpkin spice Frosty joins the likes of birthday cake, peppermint and strawberry flavour which have all joined the menu for a limited run in the past.
The chain’s mainstay flavours are chocolate and vanilla.
“From our summertime Strawberry Frosty to last year’s holiday Peppermint Frosty, and now our fall Pumpkin Spice Frosty, we are all about meeting our Frosty fans where they are by bringing familiar, and iconic, seasonal flavors to the menu,” Lindsay Radkoski, chief marketing officer for The Wendy’s Company, said as they announced the launch.
The chain will also be launching a pumpkin spice Frosty Cream Cold Brew, made with “the same delicious syrup from the Pumpkin Spice Frosty” and added coffee, for those searching for “a pumpkin pick-me-up.”
Both drinks are available from September 12th, and will only be seasonal, so you have to be quick to try ’em.
Wendy’s has 30 locations in the UK, however, the PSL launch is a Stateside special (sorry fellow Brits!).
The good news is, you can head to Starbucks for your pumpkin spice fix, instead.
