Ever watched TV and thought you'd really like to try the food they're banging on about? Us too.

From Studio Ghibli to *THAT* meal in When Harry Met Sally, there have been plenty of fictional feasts we've wished we could get our chops around.

Another example? The much revered Krabby Patties in Spongebob SquarePants (which were supposedly so delicious that Plankton was on a mission to steal.

Plankton may not have succeeded to take over Mr Krabs' empire, but it seems the folks at Wendy's have had better luck, as they've just announced they've teamed up with Paramount to launch their very own version of the cartoon meal, to honour the Spongebob SquarePants series' 25th birthday.

Dubbed Wendy's Krabby Patty Kollab, the new release – or the Krabby Patty Kollab Burger, as it's also known – features a beef quarter pounder, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion, all stuffed inside a “toasted premium bun.”

In keeping with Mr Krabs' tightly held recipe, the burger comes with a “a top-secret Krabby Kollab sauce.”

The collaboration doesn't stop there, as Wendy’s is also introducing a Frosty inspired by Spongebob's house – a pineapple.

The drink is called the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, and is essentially a Vanilla Frosty with a Pineapple Mango flavoured puree swirl. Delish.

The new menu items will be sold in Wendy’s restaurants in the US starting on 8th October, for a limited time.

Customers in Los Angeles, California, are also being given the opportunity to snag both menu items a day early, when visiting Wendy’s drive-thru experience in Panorama City. The experience will also be taking place at the same store on the 8th if you are local and want to check it out.

Dario Spina, the chief marketing officer of Paramount Brand Studio, said the collaboration was “another innovative way” to hero Spongebob SquarePants on its anniversary.

He went on to say that the bringing to life of Bikini Bottom was an opportunity for people to experience it "like never before".

“Wendy’s pulse on pop culture and connection to fans makes this collaboration a perfect match for Paramount, and we’re looking forward to delivering memorable and immersive experiences through custom creative, engaging social content and recognisable influence,” he said in the press release.

Lindsay Radkoski, the US chief marketing officer for the Wendy’s Company, added: "In a world of people cutting corners, Wendy’s is known for quality in everything we do – from our fresh, famous food to collaborations with brands that our fans love.

"So, it makes sense that two of the most iconic squares in pop culture are teaming up to bring a taste of this unique, limited-time experience to life for fans of all ages!"
